Meet In the Middle: Satisfying You AND Your Partner
Communicating what you want in bed can be daunting. But like anything else, mastering sex with your partner takes practice.
Cindy Meston, Ph.D., University of Texas, Austin and Director for Sexual Psychophysiology Laboratory, asserts that both men and women have sex for love, commitment AND PHYSICAL GRATIFICATION.
According to Meston, personal desires range and can change, depending on mood, life stress and a relationship’s status. However, no matter where you are in a relationship, there are things you can do to make sure you are both satisfied:
- Open Up – Talk to your partner about what turns you on and what you are looking for in a sexual relationship. It doesn’t have to be a serious — make it steamy, or even pillow talk.
- Foreplay – Foreplay begins before the clothes come off! Footsy under the dinner table or flirting at a bar. The more you tease and extend the foreplay, the more likely you are to satiate in bed.
- Objects of Affection – What better way to ignite passion in your partner than by giving him or her an unexpected gift? It can be as simple as a handwritten note or something like a We-Vibe 3, a couple’s vibrator that’s sure to ramp up the passion.
Have fun thinking of your own ways to please your partner and you may make it easier for him or her to please you in the process!
